BurkeHR is pleased to announce a new opportunity for Director of Payroll & Benefits. You’ll lead the payroll, compensation, benefits, employment, and medical service organizations for a well established manufacturing company of 1500+ employees in FL. Your responsibilities will include working directly with payroll & benefit vendors to resolve issues & ensure programs are working efficiently & accurately, managing the employment team in charge of competency, drug testing & background checks, leading the medical services team responsible for managing FMLA, worker’s comp, etc, and establishing quality processes & standards throughout the compensation & benefits organizations. Compensation for this position is 80-120K plus 20% bonus depending on your qualifications. Generous relocation is available to the right candidate.
We’re looking for an action oriented individual able to foresee and troubleshoot problems before they occur. This is a hands-on position. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build a cohesive team will ensure your success in this opportunity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
- Experience managing a payroll of >500
- Familiarity with ADP highly desired
- Strong understanding of current legislation such as FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.
- Computer proficiencies
- Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills.
