Great news! Burke HR is actively seeking an HR Manager with a strong generalist background in MA! A consumer product company needs somebody to lead HR operations in its manufacturing facility in the Boston area. You’ll direct plant HR initiatives & activities in all areas including compensation, benefits, organizational development, performance management, health & safety, training & development, and labor relations. You’ll study current practices & policies and make recommendations to establish an effective recruiting & retention program, improve employee morale, promote a productive work environment, and ensure legal compliance (ERISA, NLRB, EEO, OSHA, etc). The plant has a small union presence with a diverse cultural background and 160+ employees. Compensation for this position is 90-100K
This is a hands-on position. We’re looking a high energy strategic thinker who is self motivated & proactive. You’ll need strong organizational skills and outstanding communication & negotiation skills to be successful in this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree in HR or related field
10 years HR progressive generalist experience in a plant environment/5 years management experience
Labor relations experience desired
Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
PHR/SPHR preferred
- Computer proficiencies
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
